Description
She had been standing and staring out over the valley below. Moving back as she started her return to the gateway, she paused. Leaning against a tree as feelings of regret swept through her. All that she had been through, all the steps she had taken with their actions against the humans. This was not what they had been about, nor was it who they were or represented. There was something different about her that she was being denied by the Mother system. She believed, felt, and even more knew what she was doing was right. Somehow, she was a warrior.
Still, another part of her longed for things to be as they were before the humans came. When peace and laughter filled her world and life. They were good and happy times in those days.
She shook her head slowly, as though to brush aside the thoughts of regret and longing. Pushing off from the tree, her expression returned to that of determination. She had a war campaign to continue. It was time for the second phase to begin.

Wonderful scene and chapter - she's certainly a complicated character. :)

the prime is more than she appears, even though at times single minded to one purpose.

Odd - I commented on this but the comment's gone!
Beautiful and restful scene; time to relax ... and then onwards.
