A superb composition that reminds me of the immensely popular video game 'Red Dead Redemption 2', in which you have to build up a constant friendly relationship with your horse if you want it to help you whatever the circumstances are, and a red apple is always most welcome then !

That sounds like a really awesome game. When my uncle taught me how to ride horses, he told me when giving an apple to a horse, never hold the apple but keep your hand out flat with the apple in the middle. That way you won't get your fingers nipped.
