the vessel before her gleamed. it was sleek and impressive from the start, but it was a design of the enemy. It would also permit her to move amongst them with more ease. But that was merely a secondary advantage that she would use. Though this monstrosity of elegance and power had another function to perform. She decided this was a fitting opportunity to get a better understanding of her enemy.

I don't know a lot about Star Trek after the original series, so I looked up section 31 which tells me a lot more ...

I base this primarily on the original series. My Fav. But, I have thrown in a few twists along the way. Section 31 can be a rather scary lot though.
