Description

With all the excellent works you guys have posted the past couple of weeks, I decided to study Brycean trees. At the same time I decided to study waterfalls, a subject that has been done to death, but Iv'e never tried it before. Iv'e seen a number of tutorials on waterfalls but not exactly what I wanted. I wanted a more gushing whitewater look. I'm not quite satisfied with this but I finally got tired of tweaking it and decided to just post it. Thanks for viewing. =) Thanks so much for the kind comments guys. This was made using the traditional way with terrains. I just put a little angle. Of course I made multiple waterfalls to create the effect. Lastly, blurring it with Photoshop since Bryce doesn't have motion blurs. That's it. Just add your own artistic touch and have fun. Only advice I can give is while postworking with Photoshop, have a photo of a waterfall handy as reference so you'll know how close you are getting. Weeds are from www.3dplants.com. Everything else is Bryce. Postwork in Photoshop especailly on the waterfalls.

this is excellent Alvin; the falls look superb and are framed wonderfully by the rest of your composition. this is consistent with your other great images ;-)

DON'T TOUTCH THE WATERFALLS! They are great! And that wet stone in the middle is awesome! I would add some more plants near the waterfalls. But great pic man, very good job!

Alvin, you achieved a great realism in this one. The wet shade on the rocks is awesome, and I personally like a lot also the waterfall effect (so: are you sure you want to "tweak" it further? :-)) -- plus the trees, the grass, the blur on the trees above. All makes for another excellent job. It's always a pleasure to see your works.

I think you "must" be satisfied.... :o))) It's very hard to create a realistic waterfall, but you made an excellent work (perhaps more sprinkling of water all around)... Blur effects, DOF, water, grass and trees... Everything is perfect and believable. Congrats. :o)

Alvin- a great pic your studing has paid off. Brillaint tree. Your water fall is brillant - yes I have one comment about it, althou I have no idea how to solve it; the watterfall has the same leval of detail and brightness from top to bottom, but the cliff face changes ever so slightly in focus and detail.
