America seems to have become a nation of two extremes Each side says "Well, obviously my side is right!" Yet when that comes from both sides, one can only say that the only thing that is obvious is that it is not as obvious as some claim. Instead, I suggest you think. For yourself. How do you pick between two extremes (one of which is really guaranteed to win)? Ask yourself; two related questions: 1) Which side has more opportunity to pull back from the extreme? 2) Which side is more likely to just Double Down!? Question: What is more likely to tip the scales toward one or the other? Answer: Diversity of opinion or viewpoint within the group. Question: What creates diversity of opinion? Answer: Diversity itself does! Question: What kind of diversity? Answer: Every kind of diversity! I'll let you imagine the different kinds of diversity. Just remember to have a diverse view of diversity, not have a narrow definition of diveristy. -Granted, there is power in unity; but it comes at a cost: the potential the posibility for all that power to go in the wrong direction. I remember hearing my grandad, even within the depth of his dementia, say (in obvervation of occasions of foolishness of those around him): "Full Speed Ahead in Reverse!"
