Description
Had this idea for some time, but only now have I been able to put it all together in a way that I'm satisfied with. To make it look like a movie still, I rendered it in 1.85:1 Super 35. I've also included a variant render with a Kodachrome filter, tell me which one looks more appropriate.
With apologies to Capcom, Hanna-Barbera, Sony & Suda51. Rendered in DS iRay 4.23.

The first render is better; the Kodachrome filter introduces too much warm tone to the rendered image. The purple dress is too saturated and does not blend well with the rest of the scene. Two actors are facing the wrong direction. If they are anticipating an attack from the door, they should be facing the door. Also, the shadows are too washed out throughout the scene; if you intend to convey a doom-and-gloom scenario, concentrate your window lighting on the right and from the doors. Reduce all other lighting in the room.

I wanted to find a balance between adequate lighting and appropriate atmosphere. A bare minimum of indoor lighting was used, with most of the light supplied by a moonlit HDRI. Also, I turned up the ISO exposure as a real-world photographer would.

I like the first one better too. I think I might have reduced the overall lighting as well, but if this is indeed a zombie attack, it may very well BE in the bright light of day! lol Love the concept, though. With that cast of heroines, the Z's don't stand a chance! :D The only one I don't recognize is the blonde in back with the white top and blue jeans and the machete. Who is she?
