Description

The Enchanted Trunk Under the eerie Halloween moonlight, this ancient tree stump reveals a surprising form—an elephant with a twisted trunk, as if carved by the forest spirits themselves. Its "eyes" seem to follow passersby, a silent guardian of the woodland shadows. Legends say that, on Halloween night, this spectral creature awakens, its wooden trunk lifting to trumpet a ghostly call that echoes through the dark. Approach with caution, for this haunted trunk has a story to tell... if you dare to listen. Wishing you all a happy Halloween, and thank you for your look. p.s. the second photo is the original photo before I used one of my styles over it.

You did a great job with the tree stump! You did the same kind of transformation with it that you do with your fractal shapes: You found a strange, wonderful creature inside it. At first, this creature seems to be underwater, with all those green and pale green plants behind it. But then, it could be on land too---with a fantasy forest of small bushes and pods, etc.

You've given the face such stunning detail---the eye, the craters along its 'trunk', the strange "shell" behind its eye. the wing-like shape of its head---it looks like it could fly away, if it wanted to.

And it seems to rest---or hide behind---that branch below it. It's part fish, part starfish (zeester?), part strange elephant, and also just a wood spirit: I mean, you really did coax a wood-spirit out of that beautiful tree stump. You brought it back to life. And the high background looks like it has trees growing in it. Very abstract, poetic trees.

Full size, this is a very powerful image. Great work again, Jacomina. I will write back this month, I promise---to all your letters incl the very most recent one (which was very powerful). For right now, though, at least I can leave you 3 comments. This halloween series is terrific---including that little "mini world" inside that pumpkin ("For Halloween's no ordinary night"). Great work. Some of the most creative art I've ever seen for Halloween.
