I was rushing to post the original of this image as close to Halloween as possible, since I'd decided to do a themed render at the last minute. Consequently, I didn’t have time to try different lighting setups, and ended up with one that was predictable, bourgeois, and boring (I used a single mesh light, as if it was a model shoot). But after staring at it for a day, I realized I couldn’t live with it, so I fixed it. I think you’ll agree, if you compare the two (the second image is the original) that this is a much more successful and memorable render. “When All Hallows Eve rolls around, many of us, as is our wont, dress up as Witches, Ghouls, Ghosts, and Goblins.
