Description
The male beard - an expression of individualism, a symbol and a confession.
For some it is just an expression of personal freedom, a kind of "facial decoration", individually different, underlining one's own personality.
For others it can also be a religiously based symbol of power that stands for male dominance and supremacy. In some cultures, beards are even compulsory and shaving can have serious consequences for the person concerned.
