Well, Rod, you know I share your views wholeheartedly. There will always be those who simply don't want to "see." Also, so many ignorant people in the US--did they ever graduate from grade school, and do they watch anything other than Faux Noise? Furthermore, they have a penchant for not accepting responsibility for their own failures.

Perhaps when the poo hits the fan and they start losing their rights, inflation becomes a real killer, and heaven forbid, the gov starts taking away their precious guns (authoritarians don't like guns in the wild), they will see the light (but most will still blame the "others" for their newly realized woes). I keep hoping there is a nice shiny silver bullet out there with that someone's name on it.

It's all on the wheel, or so I've been told... What goes around comes around. There will be a day of reckoning, and it will be a rude awakening for some. Third time's the charm..

How could I forget? In addition to all the lies and other nonsense and shenanigans coming from the orange monstrosity, we are now cursed as a nation to have a convicted felon and his slutty wife to infect the WH by their presence: A nation's people who can vote to have a convicted felon lead their nation need to take, at a minimum, some courses in civics and get some lessons in the meaning and importance of morality and facts based on verifiable observations, not crackpot opinions. The USA has become a nation of dunces.

As an aside: See where Putin is distributing the felon's wifey-poo's naked photos :) -- I get the feeling at times, that the planet has been over taken by body snatchers...crazier and weirder than any Mel Brooks' movies.

We can joke about him, but underneath, omg: The things his (coming) staff says, the things he promises...it's out of a dark nightmare sci fi film. About a decade ago I said to my father; "as we near the dawn of the trillionaire class our nation will 1 day need to have a serious conversation about the potential of wealth hoarders becoming a NS threat." 2 immigrants, 2 different approaches: Cenk Uygur tried to run as a protest candidate within the system. The system locked him out because he wasn't born on U.S. soil. That is current U.S. law. The 2nd immigrant having a better understanding of America simply purchased it. With about 100 tweets he just tanked a budget agreement leaving us with a potential gov shutdown over the holidays. He will be controlling a non-gov agency (DOGE) that will decide the fate of some official gov matters yes but, his messaging platform is the command & control center. The incoming cabinet is the wealthiest in U.S. history. This new data suggests the time for that conversation may be soon. Within my lifetime soon.

Within yesterday soon..... I have much anxiety about where this country is headed. We are in deep, deep trouble. Drones don't worry me. Convicted criminals, traitors, liars, con men, and "leaders" who admire Adolph Hitler DO worry me. And billionaires who talk about cutting into my social security (currently my only source of income) make me want to consider doing things I shouldn't even think about.

I remember Cenk talking about running just as a protest. Even he said he had zero chance being from Turkey, but I thought it was great! I love the Young Turks.

The American experiment is worth preserving. Ya'll will figure it out. That's the only thing I've ever had faith in. All you pain in my arses whom I love & admire so very much. One big crazy family. Before my Grandpa died he told me the flag was flown over the Capitol for him & his wife, my Grandmother who was also in Time magazine once or twice. Grandpa went peacefully when he was ready.
