Yesterday, in 2003, astronomers Michael E. Brown, Chad Trujillo, and David L. Rabinowitz discovered the trans-Neptunian object Sedna.

Neptune's moon Triton is thought to be a trans-Neptunian ice-dwarf captured by Neptune after being expelled from the Kuiper Belt, possibly by Planet 9.
