Description
Ok...
I try to post these every year: They're the anniversary of my first sales as an artist.
The series (consisting of 24 drawings) was called "brush drawings"---which were drawings of brushes (not by brushes): I loved brushes, I loved how they look, how they feel, how soft they are on the page...so I drew tons of them---all in pencil, and I sold these two. My first sales as an artist.
So every year I post them hoping not to bore you (one can get sick of the same thing over and over!) just to say what a joy it is to be an artist, and share it with others. Everyone of you knows that feeling
(The top brush is my avatar, btw.)
That's all: Just wanted to share.
I hope you're all well, and I wish you a peaceful and loving weekend. I'll be back in a bit. Thanks so much for your love, response and great vibes! I loved being in your galleries once more. All the best to all of you! mark

Wonderful brushes; there is something very special in brushes, just like in pencils and fountain-pens. Brushes themselves can make painting very addictive, including brush hand writing.ðððĨ°

This is wonderful work.

These are wonderful, Mark! I can see why those sold - they are lovely. I've made a few sales here and there over the years - nothing to brag about... LOL
If I never make another penny with art, so be it. I still enjoy the peace and happiness - and escapism from this increasingly dark world. I'd be someplace wearing one of those funny jackets by now if it wasn't for art keeping me sane, or a reasonable facsimile thereof... ðĪŠ

I do understand you Mark. For those who find beauty in the simplicity of objects, brushes hold a unique allure. Not for their function in painting, but for their elegant forms; their soft bristles, graceful handles, and the craftsmanship they embody. Each brush tells a story, and for those who cherish their aesthetic, drawing them becomes an art in itself. Capturing the subtle curve of a handle or the delicate spread of bristles transforms these humble tools into striking subjects, celebrating their quiet beauty in every sketch. And I wonder what is written on the left handle.

There is a graceful beauty to certain objects, pocket watches, pens, brushes, and other minimalistic objects. Those are cool.

As much as I enjoy viewing these two wonderful works of art that you did Mark, I feel that I owe you an apology for not viewing this art work of yours sooner. I have not been visiting this site often enough and I tend to miss much of the art work that other artists have posted.
I want to personally thank you for always being so gracious with your time to leave such awesome comments in the short videos I make...you are one of a kind my special friend! :-)
