Description

Andy, the AI automaton knows that his human is missing, but doesn't know what to do about it. It's the time of year that his human would hunt pheasant, so Andy decides to continue this tradition, in hopes that when his human returns that he will be impressed with Andy's results. Heading into the field Andy follows all of his humans normal standards: hiding behind a blind, calling to the birds, and readying for a shot. Andy is disappointed when only drones rise from the fields. Momentarily he considers shooting the drones, but they would hold no value for his human, so he holds his shot. Andy is disappointed. (Andy is a very old Poser model. I'm forced to use AI in my day-to-day job, and I've learned to appreciate everything else a little bit more. Andy is old, but he still has a story to tell)

Shotguns are absolutely best for drones. That old Andy model apparently has a few more stories to tell. Compelling art,

Where did the textures on Andy come from?

Thanks for all the kind words, and the critical information about shotguns and drones. Good advice, FirstBastion!

The textures for Andy were stock, but I painted over everything. At my advanced age I've created thousands of textures and I reuse them at every chance. The wooden stock on the gun, the tartan on his hat, even the drones themselves are previous endeavors. Andy's components and segments were hand painted in Photoshop, as well all of his highlights and most of his shadows. The 3D models I use are mostly decades old - like the shotgun, for instance. It isn't hanging open, and it has no textures - just a gray model. I use Photoshop to manipulate it all. As a traditionally trained illustrator (meaning paper, canvas, and media) it seems funny to say "don't forget the old things", but it's absolutely the truth. Don't forget the old things, folks. They can still be used to tell stories, and what was once old can be new again ;)

Thanks so much for viewing!
