Excellent photo. My question is tame ducks or wild ducks? Some tame ducks do look like mallard ducks. I had a couple when I was young and they are odd looking couple with matching blue dots on their wings. Males come with green head with yelllow beak, white ring on collar, grey belly, blackish, darker brown back and white and black tail. On flight their wings and belly are more whitis. Femaies seen in photo are brownish as it works as camouflage for them when they nest. Mallards were also something that grandpa and dad brought home often during hunting season.

As far as I know they are wild mallard ducks. In Winter they fly south and a huge number fly here to their version of south to winter over. And then winter disappears they fly back and the original group come back in. They are somewhat domesticated in the fact that occasionally some people feed them, usually in the wintertime but otherwise they take care of themselves.
