Scorpio - The Last Hanukan
- Shadows Of Sand
- The Red Shadow
"Cyaroux, Ystella has called Scorpio "Cyaroux", please forgive me Ebrima, but I do not know what this word would mean in your language. Cyaroux was a noble being who ventured from the forgotten lands through the mountains and found the great lands we now call Morasha. The princess Ystella seems to believe that Scorpio is akin to the most sacred of deities. I can translate Ystella's words for you if wish Amulian?"
"No, I would prefer it if you didn't"
"May I ask why you have no desire to know what the princess says?"
"I am watching a child from the deepest reaches of the Red Desert and a princess from far beyond the Morashian mountains. Two children who under any other circumstances would have never known that the other existed, let alone crossed paths. Forget the horrors that they have seen and talk to each other in the only language they have truly known and yet somehow, unlike us, they understand each other. Somehow, these two children from such different lands have forged a world without borders between themselves. I would prefer to just listen and imagine what they are saying to each other but either way I know that both are happy"
"I understand I think Ebrima, but could you translate your warriors words for me?"
"I cannot translate Scorpio's words for you, she is not speaking Amulian, that is Hanukan, I have learned some of these words but not enough and I do not know exactly what she is saying, but i do know that she is happy"
"Forgive my asking but if you do not fully understand her, then how can you be certain that she is happy?"
"Because neither you or the princess Ystella would be alive if she wasn't"
