(I know we’ve moved into the new year now, but I do plan on finishing the Birthstone Collection. I’ll get them posted as soon as I can get them finished, I hate to leave things only partly done!) I thought it might be fun to do a “fashion shoot” each month, featuring the birthstone of that month! I know that there are lots of different versions of the birthstones, so I just chose the ones I liked best. October’s birthstone is Opal, shown here as a creamy gem with reflective colors. Opals are absolutely gorgeous in real life, they often have many different colors and shades to them that change in the light. It’s not so easy to replicate that in a picture, though :( I did my best, hopefully it’s a least a vague resemblance! Rendered in Daz Studio Iray. Postwork in Pixelmator Pro.
