Description
~Cortana~
A while ago, Cortana was the fictitious AI from a sci-fi videogame, and eventually even the voice of Microsoft Windows, but nowadays we can actually talk to a real AI and have long conversations about anything. Well, almost anything depending on how censored it is. We can even define its personality, or ask it to impersonate someone famous. Like Star Trek communicators later became everyday flip phones, Cortana eventually became feasible - I just didn't expect it so soon.
3D pose and camera set in Poser, exported with my OpenPose plugin, rendered in Stable Diffusion, postwork in PaintShop.

Nice!!!!! it sort of unfortunate that microsoft give up on Cortana. In favor of Copilot. You would think with how big the Halo frenchise is,but Cortana was a popular character they should of kept her as a personal assiatance.

Thank you! I think the issue with Cortana in Windows was the invasion of privacy imposed by Microsoft in order to use the service. They were collecting more data than people were comfortable with, which led to a backslash. In addition, they made it integrated into the OS, so people could disable it, but not uninstall it. That also led to a backslash. Ironically, Cortana is gone, but Microsoft continues to collect data (they call it "telemetry") where, as opposed to Cortana, they don't tell us what is being collected, and it cannot be disabled. 😛

Ah!!!!! I did not know that. Now that makes sense. I assume it was corporate being corporate decided to ditch her for a new shiny product. That unfortunate to hear. Still I hope they bring her back minus the data collection and other negative action and Bs.

Microsoft initially claimed Cortana was being moved to the business-oriented environment, but instead, she was completely phased out in favor of a true LLM-based AI that could do much more and demand less development time. That's because Cortana was not a real AI, but instead a voice activated access to Microsoft Azure information system. It was like making queries to their database, which explains why it only responded to pre-programmed questions, claiming not to understand anything else. Conversely, Co-Pilot is a true LLM AI that can handle anything, so it was a more natural choice.
One could ask - why not make Co-pilot voice activated with Jen Taylor's voice? It comes down Cortana was not widely adopted in business environments as Microsoft expected, mainly because talking to the computer tends to disrupt a business environment, as well as receiving voice feedback. Might be Ok for home users, but that was not what Microsoft was aiming for. Most work environments require silence. 😋

I see. But it not like LLMS are real AI either. If we have to describe ChatGPT, Copilot,etc..... Their closer to being a VI(Virtual Intelligence). Then an AI. Still I get your point not being business friendly. Still wish it was an option, maybe she come back In a form of an assistant for the new Xbox console,if Microsoft decides to make another console.

I see what you mean. I said "true AI" in the sense that it LLMs are neural networks, while Cortana was based on a specific number of predefined things we could query about. If Microsoft would include a new kind of question, they would have to program it first. LLMs don't have that requirement, which is why it was picked to fuel Copilot instead.
I would also love to see Cortana again, and we know Microsoft has the rights and Jen Taylor's voice ready to use when the time comes. Although everything is voice controlled in science fiction, Microsoft has discovered the hard way that this is disruptive in a business environment, which is why it has failed. It's more suitable to home and entertainment, though, so there is still hope. ^___^

I know John was never lonely in space if his Cortana looked like yours. Great job here.
