Description
A once wet and fertile region with rivers and floodplains that is now a desert in Mongolia. The smaller guy is Bagarataan a genus belonging to the Tyrannosauridae. This one was a fairly recent discovery. It shows not all Tyrannosaurs were giant killing machines, there were many other genera of varying sizes. Bagarataan was about 18 feet long as an adult.
The two with the long noses are Deinocheirus, large Maniraptorans, possibly omnivores. This is a nesting pair. They could grow to 30+ feet.
In distance on the right is another Tyrannosaur called Tarbosaurus. Much closer related to T-rex of North America, though a few million years earlier. Not as big as T-rex, but still quite large they averaged 35-38 feet. The largest known specimen is just under 39 feet. You can see him better in image 2.

HEEEEY, Art! So good to see your VUE work - it's been too long.. I grabbed it when they were giving it away a while back, but haven't had time to mess with it, or even install it yet.
As always your prehistoric scenes are outstanding, and informative. Hope all is well with you!
