It might just look like another piece of paper but that piece of paper means that you are legally my child now, not just for today but for tomorrow as well.
Of course you already know that to me you have always been my child, not just yesterday or tomorrow but forever.
From the moment I first took you home, I hope you knew that I was never going to let go, not unless they took you from my dead arms and even then I wouldn't have let you go.
But now they can't take you away from me and they can't take me away from you either, from today, finally, we can just be a family.
