here i tried to get the effect they had on the lord of the rings movie : The fellowship.. But it didnt work out ok so i just added a Tolkien emblem for fun.

Thanks 4 the comments this was done real quick but a displacement map didnt look right so i just used lots of polygons and moved points

Well done, sir! Being addicted to Tolkien I cannot give an unbiased opinion of your work. I love it. This is not as simple as it seems, from the crease lines visible and the directions of the shadows this setup was kinda tricky. I think you pulled it off really well.

Want to pull it off for sure - right now the map looks like it's on a wall. Position it so it looks like it's laying on a table, with some table wood showing. Then you can put some props like a pipe, a mug of the Green Dragon's finest ale, etc.
