Description

A simpler undertaking than 'street scene,' started primarily to provide some tranquil wallpaper for my office monitor.

Really nice. Minor nitpick: no warrior would leave his katana out of the saya and hanging with the edge touching something. Nor would he directly handle the blade; there would be a piece of white silk or rice paper in his hand to protect the steel. -mjr.

Thanks very much to you all...I'm glad you found it interesting. MJR: not a minor nitpick at all, and a fair criticism indeed, pointing out the gap between those who know their subject and those like me who haven't done enough research before dabbling.

I've looked at this many times, and it just blows me away. The composition, the subject- everything. If I had to change anything, I would've put a small candle or similar on the table, to provide a soft glow, just enough to slightly illuminate the features. Otherwise- excellent!

I just came here and this is one of the first I've seen. "Wow" comes to mind. My messing about in Bryce and things don't even come close to this.
