Description

For the last few days, I've spent a lot of time at the hospital. First, my partner's brother was diagnosed with bone and lung cancer this week. I waited while he had an MRI and blood work. Then my partner went in for outpatient kidney stone surgery, another 8 hours waiting. Today I got a phone call from my partner's brother to take him to the emergency room. He'd broken his arm, one of the bones with the most cancer. 6 more hours while they decided to give him morphene and put him in a temporary cast until Monday when he'll see his oncolygist about the cancer and a surgeon about getting a pin put in. I'll be there with him for that too. Creativity isn't helped sitting alone in a sterile environment. This is the only thing I could think of to do. I hope I got the feeling of helplessness and boredom you feel while waiting to see if someone you love will be all right. The really funny thing is the textures on the chairs are exactly the same as in the hospital waiting room. My other half is better, so I'm going to go grab a brew and relax.

This is truely inspirational, I can see this person really needs someone to make them feel better in a time like this. It truely captures the sorrow and silence that is being experienced. I hope every thing turns out well for your loved ones.
