Description
Hi every one. Thanks for all the helpful comments so far. This will be the last wip of this image cause I'm nearly sick of it anyway. I am still working on the VW (belongs to the surfy on the second floor)for the car park and some bits of paper to be scattered around. I'm not sure if there should be more buildings in the skyline so I'll work on some to see and I"ve decided I really do need that train off to the right.
I gave up trying HV's for the clouds and couldn't get what I wanted from skygen so I jumped over to terragen to render out the sky I was after. I think it works as a late afternoon but not quite sunset shot.

Amazing work. It has been truly delightful following the progress on this, specially watching how you've decided to refine the image little by little. A few more buildings further down would definitely add more depth to this scene.

Yes, I agree - this is a total stunner! One of my favorite ever city scenes. Thanks so much for posting your progress.

god thats looking great......were the vines on the wall go, i liked the vines they were cool, oh well put a tree or two next to the wall, hmm a little plant life would accent the image, a little smoke coming from a steam pipe on the roof would add a liitle coolness to it, heck i still like it awesome work so far

Thanks for the kind words all. Zapper, sorry about the vines they are still there but I've had to split the scene into 4 slices when rendering now and the vines are in the same slice as the incomplete VW bug so they will live again. Unfortunately at this resolution, the weeds at the corner of the stairs and on the corner of the kerb just look like stains or marks on the surfaces. I'll work on that. Until the final render.....:-)
