Description

Well I didn't win the Renderosity "Seed" Cover Page contest but I did get 3rd runner-up out 141 entries. So I'm happy (and surprised) with that! I couldn't publish the image until the contest was over and this is the one I submitted. The seed I used is on the wall on the right, an image I manipulated to look like a Roman mosaic. The Gladiator texture - Raven by the wonderful and talented Diao The Helmut- by the gifted John Malis Skirt by Steve Shanks Buildings (except Colosseum) in Bryce by me. Thanks for viewing!

This is such an awesome image! The power and majesty of the Gladiators, the tragedy, the glory of Rome, of the countless lives lost and saved at the games, this is one I now have met face to face.

If this was 3rd runner up, the others must have been incredible. This image rocks, looks like it should be a bbok cover. I would love to read the story behind this one.
