Description
Osiris, the bright ancient Egyptian God of Life and Resurrection in the Afterlife. According to the Egyptians, his Death and Return caused the Nile floods and thus fertility through the Nile-silt and hence the survival of that ancient Civilization.
His wife is said to have been Isis, and together with her he guarded the Gate to the afterlife and judged the Dead: Those who had not lived well or could not say their Names were rejected and had to wander through the Desert eternally. The Egyptians did not know of a Hell as such.
His brother was the dark Seth. ... To be continued! ;)
