This fireplace was made for the interior of a 1690's Icelandic Hut (the fire is actually burning in the AVI)

Thanks very much, Joanne, for taking the time to post a comment. I appreciate it. I tended to think that the bump on the wood was set too high. The AVI showed alot of movement in the texture.

Vana, maybe a good practising/learning exercise would be to try re-lighting this scene - for example to highlight your blanket box that I know you put a lot of work into. I think with the right lighting, and if you pull down the shininess of the wood in some areas, the scene would look really beautiful. Another idea would be to set your camera up on a slight angle rather than square on, to create more of a sense of depth. Just some thoughts - I hope it helps.
