Daeve's Creature Underground World (Detail), 1991, 60cm x 130cm.
This is the first in my series of early work. I drew this when I was 9, took me a few months while watching a lot monster movies although I never quite finished it. Yup, I keep everything I don't sell, lose or give away. I even have pieces from when I was 6 and 7. My six portfolios weigh a ton, half of them are all from my childhood. I must apologize for the quality of the image, it's not the best. But I hope you like it nonetheless. Thanks for looking. More to come...

Sigh.. you're so much younger than me, and so awesomely MORE talented!!! This is incredible work for a kid!!!!!!!!! There is already space perception, proportions, some perspective... and sucha clean fantasy, and evocative structure capability. You were stunning even then :)

Intriguing and provocative! One was pondering t'other day whether there might be a direct causal link between current and wide topographical indifference and drywall ceilings. You quite precociously and inventively seem to have escaped the near universal decline of attention span and mainstream forgetfulnessturning the video screen into memorable vintage wallpaper. The worm or whatever poking its head out through the paper in the upper right portends an instinctive urge toward depth....Again splendid!
