Description
This one was done as a character portrait for a Star Trek RPG I play in. Believe it or not there was once a human being under all of that fur. It's sort of "digital makeup" layered onto the face of a model I had on hand to get the facial structure. It took a LOT of painting, layering and blending to get the resulting Caitian! My only regrets on this piece are it being TOO SMALL *kicks self* (no prints from this one I'm afraid... sad since it's one of my favorites) and that I can barely remember how the heck I did it. :-/ I've tried recreating the process so I could write it down and haven't been able to quite get it again. ARRRGGGHHH! o_O

Very well done, however you managed it. I liked M'ress and the Caitians. I was miffed that Roddenberry's flunky pressured DC COmics into dropping her and "animated Trek" creations from the TREK comic because "they were not canon." (moron.....)

I've never had the opportunity to get my hands on the comics or the animated series eps that had the Caitians in them. That didn't stop me from researching them when my friend and I wanted to start our own Trek RPG, though. :D We have a few characters in play based on them.
