another update on my viper....I still REALLY need to know how to do hdri, so if anyone's reading this and knows what I'm talking about, please comment or IM or something! (comment even if ya don't tho) :-P

I think you model is a good start, but it lacks detail and proportions. The texturing is bad as well. If you dont want to built on the model any further, you should try to built an environment to fit it into. This way you'll get a lot better surfacing on the car itself, if you turn on a slight reflection. The shadows are off too. Look at the shadow next to the car. It's all blurred and blueish. Yours is not! HDRI would definitely improve the render as well. Don't take it too hard. Its a good model, it just needs a little attention. Denb

its gettin better and better.you dont tried the hdri tuts i sent? try them i think they'll help you.... :) till next update ;)

For hdri i use this! A ballmesh around the object(unseen by camera marked!) Then,in this case You have to use the background image as the texture for the ball (double sided, 100%Illumination,0% diffuse) then enable radiosity and i think thats it.

I think this is great leap forward with your model. It really is all about trying it again and again, until you are satisfied with your results. I agree that some improved lighting and surfacing will make this image even better. Also have a look at the quality of your shadows and the color temperature of the lights in your composite image. Nice work!
