Description
This started out as me doodling in Carrara Studio's spline modeller. I decided to try to make some glassware, to practice drawing with bezier curves and the different ways to make lathed objects, and also because I was thinking earlier that most of the glass items in my collection were lacking some subtle features which I thought would make them more realistic. Several variations were exported from Carrara in .obj format.
I then imported these models into Bryce to render them... which became a study in lighting and TIR controls. I've been impressed with many of AgentSmith's renders since I first saw them, and after seeing the quick render he did of my desk model, I've been trying to find some settings of my own which achieve a similar effect. Not anywhere near his quality, yet, but I was pleased enough with this render to put it in my gallery.

Great work, Tempest, I'm impressed! Spline modeling can be fun, once you get the hang of it. And you have!

Beautiful models and great subtle lighting.

amazing work being done here!

Fantastically beautiful. Simple, graceful, and elegant. I don't know how easily you could do it, but try putting a metal lip on each of the glasses; see if it gets better!

This rocks! Very nice models and the wooden mat is gorgeous. Beautifully lighted.

going through your gallery has been an extremely self-degrading experience. i never could do anything like you have been, nor will i ever be able to. even these glasses, 6 glasses on a wooden table, are a lot better than anything i've ever made in bryce. so don't stop rendering, because a talent not used is a talent gone wasted
