Description

The title may be a little bit optimistic. I found a Bryce tutorial on the web (how to fake radiosity in Bryce). The proposed method consists in adding blured reflection to all the materials, so that the materials will be influenced by the other wich are in the vicinity. This is my first attempt on that (an other is under calculation), you recognized my lego battle droid made with leocad , textures "improved" with dust/earth, and a blur in the camera . Rendering time is not so high for this little pic (8h at 933MHz). Hope you like it ;=)

Looks pretty realistic to me, although the shadow looks a little strange. But all around, good job!

Funny... I was driving home from work and thinking of the same thing. So many things in nature reflect to some degree. Problem is that render times can become endless at higher quality settings. oh yeah... interesting shadows on the model. :)

beautiful image - even when the position of the main lightsource is a little "difficult" - i had to think about a little while wether the shadows could be right. But of course they are. I would love to see a close-up of the model (not the nice palm tree in the back!) for a better understanding of the effect. Again, beautiful image.

I can appreciate your dilemma. Flat talking to flat until a single flat dominates can be a long session. The robot has made a decision.
