Description

My last post for the month. The idea is a bride who's groom didn't show up. I haven't done a poser character in a while so I decided to make one. I just didn't want to post it on Valentines month. Took about 1.5 hours to render this image. Although I rendered the concept a few times prior to this one. The smaller images are the bloopers. Imported Poser characters, distant buildings are 2d, so are the flowers. Postworked in Photoshop. Thanks for viewing.

Hmmm... wow, I really don't know from where to begin... Ok. This is sad, beautifully sad, and you're right to not posting on Valentine's month :) It gives lot of emotions. The light on the bride's veil is wonderful, seems like she's almost sanctified somewhat. Then I love the clutter, adds to the feeling; the blur is just perfect, the dog and cat are simply lovely, the background is dramatic. Plus, the textures are top-notch. Last (but not least), the "bloopers" are really great, it seems they show a story in theirselves (cool idea to post them! hope you'll keep on showing them). Ok, I think I'm finished... after all this bla-balh-ing, is it necessary to say I'll rank it excellent and that I'll vote it too? ;-)

Great impression of sorrow and pain from a loss no matter the time of year. Everything looks wonderful 'but sad' in your image. Now I am a newbie, so what does it mean by "DOF"? I'm sorry to be so uninformed but I want to learn, so I must ask what the others are talking about "DOF".?

I hope you never stop rendering, because you have an amazing talent. This speaks volumes. It causes the viewer (or at least me) to focus not on your awesome technique but on the emotion, a rare feat. Powerful work!

I really love it Alvin.. Especially the glow around her. Sounds like she's off better without that guy if she's being dumped like that.

Yes, I think Hallmark would sue. Maybe the groom didn't like the fact that she gets followed around by cats and dogs evrywhere she goes. (Though some suggested it was her foot odour) Great image though :)
