Description

40" wide acrylic for a body of my uni work. Comic book modern disco dancers juxtaposed against copy wall paintings of the 19c by Renoir and Toulouse-Lautrec. It's been interesting to get reactions, someone thought because of the plasticity of the forground and realism of the background I was getting at "Life ain't what it used to be"

Al, is great to have you back with such a valuable work. I really like the proportions and colours, you suggest well the hectic, yet stalling feeling of places like discoteques, that "research for joy" which is often so melancholic, colourful, but flat inside. I consider this your best work so far. Compliments.
