Description

tjohn made this wonderful texture and I have been wanting to use it. Soft shadows, blurry reflections, faked HDRI and 5 lights. 100% Bryce. So how do you like your eggs? Runny, scrambled, over easy me over medium. Comments and suggestions welcome.

The texture that tjohn made is the egg yolk very realistic IMHO. The white is metaballs and the rest of the textures are mine.

Excellent job. I love the dripping yoke in the egg shell. I also love how you made the egg white drip in the tile grooves. It all looks so real. I want mine over easy on a piece of toast :)

Outstanding!! The only way I could tell it's not a photo is the slight doubling of the broken edges of the shell. The detail is superb, even to the drips and the tiny fragments of shell. A real class act!

Whoa! I'm without words, it's the best egg-scene I ever saw! :-) Wonderful realism, awesome attention to the details (the white in the grooves, the shells). Excellent job!

Excellent work! I especially like the doubling of the broken edges of the shell, the outside part is the shell, the inner is the membrane.

I actually sat down and broke a few eggs (farmer browns and whites) in a pan and on a counter. I was looking to see how the white would run and many of them when broken had this inner membrane. I also tried to get the bumps of the shell right as well. Thanks for comments all! Of course I made scrambled cheesy eggs after YUM!

Wonderful image, and I want to thank you and others like you for explaining some of what you had to do in order to achieve your results. I plan to get my copy of Bryce 5.0 when I get my tax refund. Until then, I really enjoy learning all about the different methods for creation.

Impressive work Vile! I'm especially impressed with the eggshells.

I think the ineershell is too reflective and the egg white too transparent, great image nonetheless, especially the egg shell texture (outside)and the ridge of the broken egg

I think the egg looks too eggy and the tiles look way too tiley. The yolk looks too yolkish. Actually, if an egg was cracked in this manner, there would be 4.1255 specks of shell in the egg white, 1 speck on the yolk, and .35 specks in the tile grout. There should also be a picture of my mom with a mop in the reflection. Your final score for this image is: Excellent
