Description
this one took me about 90 minutes. it holds very deep personal/emotional/spiritual significance to me, so if you steal it i'll hunt you down and beat your skull in with my pencil. it'll take a while, and i don't think you'll enjoy it, so just don't swipe this thing, m'kay?
for my own reasons, i wanted this pic to be highly stylized (hence the 2d-ish stylized hair and the bold, almost cartoonish outlines). imagine that his hair is flame red, his eyes are deep bright blue, and the feather around his neck is a silver-and-white peacock's feather.
i tried a different weight of paper than i usually do, switching from 50# to 70#. still rendered with the all-powerful bic no. 2.
much love to the subject of the drawing, big thanks to my mom for playing some evanescence for my "drawing music," and grande thanks to top cow penciler michael turner for some teensy facial references (the middle batch of witchblade comics kick total ass, man!).
