Description
The ship is from the Babylon 5 Builder's Guild. I supplied the texturing. The rest is all Bryce. I used Photoshop for final light and color correction.

beautiful, Des; the ringed planet's fragile atmosphere is delicious; why'd you choose Eta Aurigae (just curious)?

Wonderful.

Very nice texturing & composition, Des

Nice texturing on the ship, but the prespective and planet are all wrong. For the rings to be so smooth indicates a good distance from the planet yet the planet has way too much detail. For that much detail to be visible it would have to be a whole lot larger and completely fill the screen. Remember planets are huge the earth is 24 thousand miles in diameter. Smooth out the features of the planet to match the rings. You view would equal about 50 to 60 thousand miles out. You just would not see detail like that. Finally ypur stars are either in front of the rings or are shining with pin point focus through them. Rings are comprised of dust and other solid planetary matter. At a distance they look like a solid rather than a debris feild. Light gets very distorted or even obscured by them.

Hey thats a good render of the destroyer. As for suggestions, Um...haha, im not good enough yet to just jump right in and tell someone how to do something. Keep up the good work :-)

Ahhh, those pesky rings! You did well with them. A real keeper, of course I am partial to space imagery. Nice effort.

Superbe scène de scifi et très beau vaisseau.

The ship looks fantastic. I always loved that series, and you've got what it was that I loved about the human-ships perfect: that ugly no-nonsense practicality without any embellishments. Great job.
