This image - like all your works of art - is a testament not only to your expertise and finely-tuned skills, it is, with this 'Title', an excellent exhibit of the person behind the work - one who abhors war, death and destruction and has dreams of world peace. The terrible calamity of the Shuttle, and subsequent loss of the Columbia crew was a horrific event, and more so when you consider they were only about 16 minutes away from touch down and being re-united with family and loved ones. - Yet, by the same token, humanity has no business trying to conquer the hostile environment of space until such a time as we can all respect each other here on earth, and live peaceably with our own neighbors on this planet. We have made a mess of this globe; have starving and homeless; global pollution; and seem to relish making war! Right now, there are many many thousands of young men and women from nations around the globe, all being prepared to be deliberately sent into harm's way in the name of peace, but by the idiocy of war. Many of these men and women will be killed in the line of duty, their young lives cut short prematurely, and most will be fortunate enough to be mentioned somewhere deep in a newspaper's Obituary column - much less become Front Page news, nor will they be as the Columbia hero's - with tributes lasting days or weeks, with millions of others mourning their untimely departure. This is a ludicrous, almost mindless world at best, and humanity seems bent on a course of self annihilation. Our only protection is in hoping that somewhere, somehow, the human race will wake up and learn to co-exist in peace, but until we can learn to live among ourselves - well, life is far too short and unexpected as it is to make haste to war. Let all the artists in the world run this planet - we need people who appreciate not only the untold beauty of our planet, but have genuine respect and love for human life. Yes rohi - I agree with your statement - and it is your wonderful works of art that are a haven of refuge in a time of unsettling events. Bravo my friend!

Peace is stagnation, rot. War is genetic, and without it we wouldn't even be here. A single cell kills it's neighbor cells for food, or is killed by them instead. Great image, Rohi! You're the composition master...
Turin_Turambar
A single cell has no capacity for thought shadowdragon - your analogy is therefore good, as war is the ultimate failure of rational! *** Thanks Rohi for this image and for joining the growing number of artists making their thoughts felt through art, an ancient medium for comment. (P.S. very good thoughts racin-jason, lets save our resources for learning the greatest mystery; how all people can live together in civilized peace.) :)

Having been involved in war myself, I have to agree that there is never a winner. Just losers. On both sides. Anyway, great image !

Sir, your work of art has always been an inspiration to me. I feel blessed to have the scenery inspiration that I view everyday in your gallery. I hope only to one day improve my work to that level. I am ex-army, so politics and art does not mix in my life. I would though like to thank you for the beautiful images that takes me away to another world during any stressful day. Thank you.

Another great picture - how do you keep doing it? Forget that, it doesn't matter how you do it - just don't stop! Love it!

Someone has to stand up to the bullies of the world. War is their fault. I won't let the neighbor bully beat up on the little girl, and I won't let the bully halfway around the world enslave and murder millions. This is a beautiful, dreamy image.

I'm with you, Rohi, as I have always been, since demonstrations in the 60's against the Viet Nam conflict. More and more, as the centuries crawl on, it's the rich and powerful who plan and execute wars primarily to add to their own riches and power. But it is the ordinary young people who fight, suffer, and die. This Iraqi production is the perfect example, a war for Chevron and Halliburton. When will we all be angry enough over this state of affairs to let our voices be heard?
