Your eagle and fish are brilliant - excellent poses and the texmap on the eagle rocks. The whole image is a lovely moment of drama. The splash needs a lot more transparency though; at the moment it looks like blue crystals. When you work on it, it also needs to ripple out across the surface of the sea - it's not affecting the water around it just now. You could also give it some droplets using tiny spheres, and a bit of spray in post-work. Other than that, some land terrains in the background would make the image feel more contained and give the drama a context.

Thanks for your suggestions. It's the first time I have ever submitted a work in progess. The texmap on the eagle is basically the Zygote/DAZ map for an American eagle. Our Fish eagle is luckily very similar (same species?), except that the white feathers go more across the chest and back (I must do more work on the bumpmap in this area ), the beak has a black tip, the long feathers are more black, and the feet are less yellow. The splash is really a proof of concept. It looks like crystals mostly because of too few polygons and too little smoothing - working on it!. Like your idea about droplets ( been making splashes in the swimming pool)
