Description

My Father took this image while stationed on the U.S.S. Forrestal (CV-59) somewhere in the Mediterranean Ocean, during the Summer of 1980. My Father and the Phantom pictured were members of VMFA-115 "The Silver Eagles". The picture was taken with a Pentax ME Super SLR. My father does not remember the lens type or film speed used for the shot. The Jiggler out <><

That's a great image. I like the color (or lack thereof).

I was on the USS Abraham Lincoln. There's nothing like watching a F-14 take off or land on the deck.

Marvellous contrast, love how dark your point of focus is, but the slightest highlights show lots of detail.

Tell your Dad I was stationed aboard the U.S.S. Coral Sea (CVA-43). I was a boiler tech (snipe), creating steam for the catapults to toss those babies right into the air! (lol)I will post some of my old images I'll title "Navy Daze"
