Description

Messing around with P5 cloth simulations...S. Marck's MilGirl clothes actually clothify really well, if you prep them right - you can even get them to keep their old texturing! The ones above are Marck's Pants1 and Shirt2 - neither one is (in this case) conforming or morphed - they were converted to cloth objects. One thing I really like about using the cloth for clothing is you can take clothing and apply it to morphed characters and not have to worry about creating a matching morph, like you do with conforming clothes. The shirt doesn't come with any breast morphs - when you apply the conforming version to Kaila, it just plain doesn't fit. But when you clothify it, start your drape at zero pose, turn down all of the Kaila morphs so she doesn't intersect the shirt, and then gradually turn on the morphs as you apply the pose...the cloth simulation stretches the material to accomodate Kaila's chest just fine. LOVE that cloth room! The major thing I dislike about this particular one, though is that the straps don't look realistic...because they aren't. This is actually a sleeved shirt with a transmap, and the cloth room treats it as such. When given clothing with real straps (like Marck's dungarees) they behave much more realistically. Now I just need to learn which settings make the simulations behave like which sorts of cloth (cotton, denim, satin, velvet, etc.) and I can start turning out the fun stuff! As always, comments/questions/criticisms are welcome!
