Description

When I was looking for an old farmhouse, I found a few but wasn't satisfied with them. When zippy uploaded the brick and wood huts to Rosity, I thought the wood one looked like the lower lever of a farmhouse so I loaded it in Poser and started playing..here is the results. The farmhouse consists of 4 huts..stacked or stuck in each other. The porch roof is part of another one. I edited the textures for that old weathered wood look and changed the roof to a rust color like an old tin roof. That hut has alot of possibilities. Thanks Andrew for that hut. The tobacco barn on the left is 2 huts stacked on each other and the smokehouse on the right is one hut. The barn, old truck, wagon wheel, and porch railing (from the Two Story House) came from Same's 3D. Purple flowers and log pile are from Judith. Daffodils are from Toucan. Oak trees from Syama. 1920 stove (retextured and stuck in the back of the pickup) is from ockham. Chimneys from pdblake's Building Accessories #1 kit. Posable door and windows used on the house are from blud. Pine trees and bushes from XFrog. Cyclorama background from DAZ. All models were put together and the scene was rendered in Poser 4 (and yes, it does more than nudes). Photoshop was used for retexturing, matting and my sig. UVMapped (Oh, what a great program) was extensively used for breaking things apart, deleting what I didn't need, and saving as new obj files. Paint Shop Pro was used to add the frame. Enjoy!!!!

Good job. The smokehouse looks like the one I used to work with at the Cherokee Heritage Center outside Tahlequah, Oklahoma. It's located in Adams Corner, a turn of the century restoration township.

You're not just showing that Poser can do great still life pictures, you're bringing new meaning to the term 'still life' as well! Have you thought about releasing your work as a series of art prints? They're all lovely to look at on the screen (very restful, evocative and nostalgic), but they'd look even better in higher resolution.

To me this is excellent work. It sure beats all the nudity that we have to wade throught that is considered art. Keep up the good work. :o)

Nice job. I've seen a few houses like this before, and I always imagine what they'd look like fixed up. I can imagine the real estate listing for this one... :-)

JUST REDUCED Handyman special on 40 acres. 3 bed, 1 bath, several outbuildings. Tons of potential! Call ###-###-#### for info.
