Description

This was rendered and modeled in Max 5. Textures were produced in Photoshop 7. I am trying to reach an Idealistic level of reality in this image. (Still working on it.) I plan on adding more objects to the table and hutch. I also plan on adding objects to the fore ground, maybe a half finished plate next to the glass of OJ on the counter top. Your comments and ratings are greatly appreciated.

This is already a big improvement! I would personally give it an other floor. It looks great!

feels very comfortable :) the shadows aren't correct everywhere I think, but it's very difficult to make them right

Good lighting is what this scene is missing. It looks like your using fill lights or some type of up lights with shadows turned on. I think thats why your shadows look incorrect. I would loose the fill lights or up lights and try using Radiosity, that now comes with Max 5. Use shadow maps for down lights, One Sun and radiosity and the scene would look great. The modeling and texturing is great and with the right lighting the scene would diffently look even better. Hope that helps.
