have to say that I'm not all that impressed. more rendering time doesn't always = better image quality. this looks like it could have been rendered on the fly by the old playstation. keep at it though, (and make better use of your computer time!)

Better than my attempts to render diamants... Looks good so far, how many light recursions did you set?
jtmjtm2001
I did 40 recusions. I used OGO Hikari shader for the rainbow effect. Thankyou all for your comments.

the render time on that is quite mad, there is no way I would've waited that long for a render, quite an interesting effect though
HobbyHopper
Wow, beautiful done! The refractions are perfect.

Some really interesting effects you've got going there. 104 hours is a killer render time though.

Good Golly Miss Molly! That is "Rendering Hell"!I say we form an artists cooperative whose goal is to link one million computers together, and create the Worlds First International Artists Rendering Super Computer!Whata ya say!" "ONE HUNDRED&FOUR HOURS!!!!" You could have mined real diamonds in that amount of time!!Still it's a magnificent rendering!

Looks good to me. The only thing I know about rendering would be pig fat like in the old days. I think your work is great, keep up the good work. Maybe some day I'll learn the process you are working with. Auntie C:)
