why is the neck of the lamp not rendered properly? does anyone know the cause for those ugly rendered polygons? thanx for any comment - airtruk

i rendered the same image again without using "Soften Reflections", which i used for the image above and the problem doesn't apear. any ideas how to avoid that ugly rendering but still using "soften reflections" ... thanx airtruk

well looks like you have some NON-Planars, they will screw up a render, in the Stastics panel in modeler- select the NON-planars and Triple them. Shift+T and that should cure your problem. Ya those non-planar polys will defenetly give you bad renders....
