Haha, thanks for sharing. Unfortunately, things aren't as simple as QP thinks. He is right about the war not being about oil. At least partly. What was that guy's name they were supposed to catch? Gee, it's all been about Hussein, I can barely remember. Oh yeah, Bin Laden.

@QP,thanks for sharing your opinion here, very appreciated... but it seems, that this war is represented in a manner, that can only be described to be a hollywood persiflage of some beaten penny-novels:D oil is just a plea, the real agitators are the weapon industries, and the oil-companies;if their stop-cock is shut, where did they end up...? another point is the weapon industry, any ideas what the fun did cost, only a war can justify this artillerie-costs,acquired all over the years...so one deaf ,dumb, blind -puppet called president has to do this job,to bring the bullets to the man,and if there is no real enemy,we will fit one into this role...,like in bad movies, with the little different, this is no dumb movie, this is reality, even if no one of the numb-heads realizes this... sad but true...

Heh, we should start an OT thread perhaps... My point is simply that the war is not about oil - I grow weary of seeing the 'No War for Oil' signs everywhere - it is like some mantra and it's just plain wrong. Having said that, I am a bit fuzzy myself on why they feel war is necessary - I am not a pacifist, believing that war is sometimes necessary, but I really don't know why they need to war with Iraq.

in that point i can only agree;i dont know why they need to war with iraq(i dont know why this is in need at all...),i wont step further into a thread like that, because there are too much different opinions about this theme to be serious...

Wow, no signs of journalistic bias here ;-)

Thanks for posting this. It will be sent to all my friends. Once again. Being European and against this (and most other) wars, I just want to say that being against a government that interferes with the world like this (Kyoto, now this,...) does not mean that we Europeans are against the people of the USA. The USA has been the ideal of many, and will become that once again. Let's cherish the hope we have that this massacre won't take place. Everywhere parents love their children, and everywhere people want to live in peace and be happy. We artists are too creative to destroy.

No...let's not attack and let the people of Iraq "enjoy" the terror of Saddam for years to come. It's time for him to leave, either friendly or non-friendly. I'm not saying Saddam is a threat right now. He is a potential threat (as are the United States themselves, ironically) that must be negated. On the other side, let's not be naive about what a war will conceive afterwards. Of course it's about oil, it's primarily about personal interest. Every war is (otherwise Africa would be in a better position). Okay,to conclude I support the war if necessary, it's the human thing to do (not the most civil way, but very human).
