I like the design, but I'm confused by the inconsistent color of the textures, albeit very nice textures...
Glazy
The top part of the vehicle,the yellow/grey green area is a Toxic waste tank that is independent of the bottom part of the ship,the tank part is fired off into space into a nearby sun and the lander part goes back to the planet for anther tank.The texture on the tank is meant to be that of flaked paint,as in it would have all been painted yellow once but these waste tanks have been sat rotting somewhere waiting to be dealt with !
