Excellent work and texturing. Wondering how it would work out whitout the closer figure. I bet it's just has nice... Not that it's not well made. Just a tought.

I agree; Excellent job! I would also consider dropping the closer figure and say move the distant one half the distance between the two.

Number of two, I believe there is some meaning to it however it alludes me. A very good work between Max and poser. Be ready for some criticism from Max enthusiast that believe everything needs to be model by you. I'm glad to see something different other than buildings cars, so on, with some people or characters there within the geometry. I presently spend more time in the poser gallery than I do the Max gallery. It is a poser place.

I think its a good picture, with plenty of room for improvement! First of all, that guy's outfit definitly doesn't fit the landscape he is traversing. I would ither make the landscape softer, or change him to fit the enviro (a marine keeps popping up in my head, the thick boots, cap, goggles, gloves, etc.) I don't want to say ither the land scape or the character are bad, its just they don't go together well in my opinion. Then! my opinion on modelling everything by yourself. I beleive you should atleast try everything once. Model your own character rig it, and so forth you then have a sense of accomplishment, and the feeling of "I can do that" instead of "I can't do that so il use Poser" Poser is an awesome tool, but it should only be used if you are creating a series of images that use certain characters that are similar, thus you simply apply a facial morph or somthing. But other than that i beleive building your own meshes is a much more productive, full filling experiance than it is to simply use a premade. Like i said, premades are very usefull, but they shouldn't be used instead of your own skills.

Great picture, dude! About what you've said: you're absolutely right. I make almost everything in my pictures. However, when it comes to figures, I refuse to spend hours to make a character (looong hours), Poser will do it just fine. After all, should I raise and slaughter a cattle, just because we'll have a hamburger on the patio? :-) You're right, just use whatever it takes. What's next? Should I write the software too? :-) There is a damn good reason why Import/Export features are present in most softwares. There are lots of plugins, scripts, etc. for Max (and for other softwares) and it's not a coincidence. It's the final image that matters, nothing else.

Great pic, Dominique. What I definitely like in all Your compositions is very individual style and highest skills to make them impressive. Looking forward impatiently to seeing more of Your stunning artwork!
