I am really becoming enthralled with image based lighting. Sometimes, it alone provides enough and just the *right* lighting I'm looking for, and sometimes I have to add a light or two, but, in Strata, it's a wonderful technique for rendering in Radiosity to get that artistic/real look you see on magazines and advertisement posters.
Some DOF here, while also working a bit with image composition, for a more "dramatic" effect.
All work done in camera- the overall color tint comes from the image I used for the lighting.
Rendered at 2x this size... you should see how sharp the actual rendering is ... amazing (the reduction did cause a slight pixelization in a few areas)!

Your images really showcase Strata's fine rendering engine. This one is particularly fine. I'm quite fond of the mono-chromatic look of this. Really nice work Howie! dano

I simply love this image. Nice little details on the textures and I think the DOF is just right. Very cool!
