Description


This photograph was taken on the way to abandoned slate workings above Blaenau Ffestiniog, Gwynedd, Wales. There are still working slate quarrys in the area. The picture was taken on the 26th of January 2003. The film used was Kodak T-Max 3200.

There is definately an interesting story behind this building; all one needs is a little imagination. Wistful, sad, and thought-provoking.

"I remember the days before, days when the sun shone upton the meadows of my childhood. Now, like the home i grew up in these are blanketed in grey . . ," After your comment "Grmitwist" the words started flowing. Couldn't hlep myself. Actually, this is a great shot. I love the grain . . . never really thought of using it to my advantge. Thanks for the inspiration.
