Description

And on the morning of that seventh day, before the sun had risen and cleared the fogs of confusion from the minds of men, before he left the earth to their hearts; he stood atop a mountain and gazed out at what he had created. He looked upon the dark green forest at his feet and the vast city within reach of his hand. Beyond that city of Cathair Mynoc lay the town of Tal Bethil, born from the water, the sister city to mynoc. And beyond that he could barely make out the great pyramid of the sand swept lands. He was the god of bryce. --------------- I built an entire world, it consists of 4 continents and 8 cities. I am still in the rough stages, not sure if I will ever truly finish it, but anyway. Here you go, the links each go to an image. I put them on my site because there were too many. Anyway, tell me what you think, and how I can improve on my technique. I wanted it to be higher res, but the file is allready 200 megs -!!!!- The beginning ones were at the start of the project, as you get down the list it gets up to where I am at now. Just paste them in your browser URL bar. View from The ice island: http://www.sphereshards.cjb.net/images/Sanc1.jpg A high view over the great forests: http://www.sphereshards.cjb.net/images/Sanc2.jpg Added in some mountains, still no cities: http://www.sphereshards.cjb.net/images/Sanc4.jpg only been modeled: http://www.sphereshards.cjb.net/images/Sanc5.jpg Monastary, still no textures: http://www.sphereshards.cjb.net/images/Sanc6.jpg Another City: http://www.sphereshards.cjb.net/images/talbethil.jpg World view WIth cities: http://www.sphereshards.cjb.net/images/world.jpg A dwarven type mining city: http://www.SphereShards.cjb.net/images/kazakankor.jpg Another rendering of the main city: http://www.sphereshards.cjb.net/images/mynoc.jpg Anyway, here's Tir Miann (city): http://www.SphereShards.cjb.net/images/tir.jpg And here's Cathair Mynoc (city): http://www.SphereShards.cjb.net/images/myntex.jpg One of my Favorites, I think the best render so far: http://www.sphereshards.cjb.net/images/mountainview.jpg If you would like a more detailed render of a specific area, just comment.

As the Who once sang; "I can see for miles and miles." This is extraordinary. I have never seen a render with such depth and detail. Very well done and worthy of a time well spent creating.

Looks like you really put a lot into this pic. I really love the details even in the distance, and wow that's a lot of renders.

A very complex project. I really wait to see how it develops. The image above is full of atmosphere, I specially like the distant city.

Great sence of height and depth and man, thats a lot of details! The only suggestion i would have, is to add some woods further away. Looks a little empty. But nevertheless, some fine work here! :)

In the distance, that's the great desert, hence, empty.

Excellent "landscape" Ornlu! I guess you really can excel at any aspect and usage of Bryce you turn your ultra-creative mind to.
